Meet Nafis, a Tuban-born Apple Academy Graduate, has taken an inspiring leap into the world of technology. His journey began when he discovered the Apple Academy during his second year in college. Intrigued by its mission to advance technology in Indonesia, Nafis was determined to join despite the competitive selection process that saw over 17,500 applicants vying for just 200 spots. Through rigorous preparation and teamwork, he earned his place.

The Apple Academy’s challenge-based learning framework stood in stark contrast to traditional college courses. It emphasized solving real-world problems, giving Nafis the chance to broaden his skills. Specializing as a product manager, he honed his leadership and adaptability, thriving in a diverse and agile environment.

One of his proudest achievements was leading the development of Apical, an app designed to help people living with HIV track their medication. The project, with real users and tangible impact, solidified Nafis’s belief in technology’s power to improve lives.

Nafis is passionate about bridging the gap between small towns and urban areas through technology. He encourages others to use accessible platforms like YouTube and Coursera to develop skills, emphasizing that the internet can unlock opportunities for anyone willing to learn.
