#FaceOfWander
Niko, the co-founder of A&CO Hair Studio in Tuban, has been passionate about the barbering industry since 2019. He was motivated by limited job opportunities in his hometown and a desire to provide a higher standard of hair care. Starting with self-taught skills, he later attended a hair-cutting school in Yogyakarta, and after gaining experience, he opened his own studio to introduce authenticity, creativity, and education to the local barbering scene.
My dream started in 2019 when job options in Tuban were limited. I wanted to go to college, but it wasn’t affordable, so I chose to pursue barbering and opened a studio to fill the gap in quality services
I started by teaching myself, then attended a 1.5-month training in Yogyakarta. After working at a friend’s barbershop for a year, I opened my own studio
My focus is on authenticity and education. Many barbershops here don’t meet proper standards or embrace creativity, so I built a studio to offer more than just haircuts.
Comfortable and valued. Many open up and share their stories during their visit, so I create a welcoming space where they feel heard and relaxed.
We explain techniques, style suitability, and care tips to help clients make informed choices and understand their hair better.
I hope for more openness to new methods in barbering and collaborate on social programs like free haircuts for those in need to foster growth and awareness.
Few of our signature services are executive-style cuts, hair coloring, and global styles like Korean, Australian, and American cuts, all with guaranteed proper standards.
Niko’s vision for A&CO Hair Studio goes beyond just providing a haircut; it’s about transforming the barbering culture in Tuban and creating a space for self-expression, education, and community connection. With a focus on authenticity and high standards, Niko is committed to elevating the hair care experience and breaking through old perceptions of what a barbershop can be. We hope that, through his work, more people in Tuban will discover the art of haircuts and the power of self-care, while also embracing the diversity of global styles and techniques.
